After you’ve answered some initial questions about your home, one of our experts will conduct a video or on-site survey so we can put together a tailored plan for the perfect set-up for your home. Once we have this plan and you’ve chosen an install date that suits you, it typically only takes one or two days for the install, depending on the size of your system and access to the roof. The installation includes fixing the panels to your roof, installing all required cables and setting up your inverter. Our engineer will give you a full run-through of the system before they leave, and we’ll also be available for ongoing support and maintenance to help you get the most out of your new system.

The government has created several grants and schemes to assist low-income homeowners and tenants of private and social housing to improve the energy efficiency of their homes through upgrades that may include solar panels. Depending on your household income and the type of benefits you may receive, you could be eligible for funding. A solar DNO application is a form we'll send on your behalf to your DNO to let them know you're getting solar panels. The form needed depends on the type of panels you have, and sometimes you need to send it before or after installation.

Solar panels usually last 25 to 30 years, but thanks to new technology, they can sometimes last longer. Even after 25-30 years, they'll still work, but they won't be as efficient as they were when they were new.
